Terms and Conditions

Givethanks Ventures/AKEBOBS VENTURES consortium has been licensed to partner with Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBBS) to enroll eligible Nigerians in the diaspora in the NIBBS database. NIBBS is the body mandated by the Federal Government of Nigeria to establish, own, operate, maintain, and manage the Banking Database in Nigeria. GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES provides administrative services for processing BVN enrolment applications ("Services").

Legal Basis

The following Terms & Conditions constitute the legal basis for the rendering of Services by GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES. By using our services, you acknowledge having read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions without limitation or qualification.

Use of Website

By accessing this website, you agree to adhere to its terms and not engage in prohibited activities such as interfering with its functionality or posting harmful or unlawful content.

Scope of Services

GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES is responsible for receiving applications, capturing biometrics, and issuing Transaction ID slips as evidence of transactions. Applicants are required to provide accurate and complete documentation as per the provided checklist.

Fees

All fees must be paid in full and are non-refundable, even if the application is not processed or the BVN is not issued. Payments can be made via credit or debit cards only.

General Obligations

Applicants are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information they provide and must check all details on the BVN slip for correctness.

Communication Policy

GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES communicates primarily through email and SMS. Applicants must ensure that their contact information is accurate and accessible.

Refund Policy

All fees are non-refundable and will be retained by GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES upon payment, irrespective of the outcome of the application process.

Granting of BVN is a sovereign right of the NIBBS and GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES is merely responsible for biometric data capture and enrolment of applicants. GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES has NO DECISION making rights, update on BVN status, or control in grant/denial/delay of getting BVN. Hence, NO Refunds will be granted by GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES, including the following circumstances:

• Rejection of BVN application by the NIBBS.
• Request for reapplication of BVN by the NIBBS.
• Delay in processing BVN application by the NIBBS.
• Loss to Employer/Self due to delay in receipt of BVN.
• Loss due to Deportation and repatriation for any reason in case BVN issuance gets delayed/rejected by the NIBBS.
• Change in BVN issuance fee by the NIBBS.
• Liberalization of Visa policies like No eVisa Required.
• Loss to Self/Family/Companion, in case BVN issuance gets delayed/rejected by the NIBBS.
• Opportunity loss for time spent on BVN application.

Revocation / Cancellation Policy

The Applicant may revoke/cancel the enrolment application at any time before the application is submitted by GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES to NIBBS. However, once an application is accepted and processed by GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES at the Enrolment center, only the shipping fee for return of BVN Slip (if opted and where applicable) will be refunded to the Applicant. GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES will retain its service fees and Value Added Services (if applicable).

Once the Applicant has submitted the application to GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES, the Applicant will be taken to have agreed that GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES may immediately commence processing the application and transfer of applicant’s biometric data to NIBBS and providing any services, and as a result, the Applicant shall not have any right to revoke/cancel.

Promotional Material

Promotional material may follow the relevant documents such as BVN Slip at the time they are returned to the Applicant. If the Applicant does not wish to receive this material, they must intimate GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES in advance at the time of submitting the documents. Please note that neither GTV nor NIBBS endorses such promotional material.

Exclusion of Liability

GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES bears no responsibility/liability for costs incurred by the Applicant in anticipation of an application to be finalized by the concerned Mission. These costs may include but are not limited to air tickets, accommodation, and other transport costs.

GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES is not responsible/liability for loss or damage due to events outside its control (Force Majeure events).

GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES is not liable for delays caused by NIBBS or for incorrect details due to incomplete or false information provided by the Applicant.

Shipment Delivery

GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES uses electronic transmittal for BVN slips where the need arises.

Scope of Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions must be read in conjunction with the Declaration & Undertaking and Disclaimer. GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES reserves the right to alter these Terms & Conditions at any time without advance notice and without offering any reason. The interpretation of these Terms & Conditions by GTV/AKEBOBS VENTURES shall be final and binding.

Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the government of the country of residence of the applicant.

• This Privacy and Data Protection Policy is issued by Givethanks Ventures (GTV).
• All personal information collected by GTV is governed by the laws applicable for the time being in force, the policy guidelines, and directions of the Government of respective Users/Applicants. Applicants/Users will be informed of the purpose for which their personal information is being collected and how to exercise their right of access to that information.
• This Privacy and Data Protection Policy should be read in conjunction with the Disclaimer and the Terms & Conditions. By accepting the Privacy and Data Protection Policy, you expressly consent to it.

• By submitting your personal data (excluding credit card information), you actively consent to our treatment of your personal data as outlined above.

Processing of Personal Data

• In connection with queries, contact details submitted will be used only for correspondence regarding the query.
• For BVN applications, personal data is processed as required by NIBBS.

• Data is treated as an asset that must be protected using tools like encryption, passwords, and firewalls. However, GTV cannot guarantee complete security due to potential third-party breaches.

Right to Opt Out

• Applicants may withdraw their consent in writing, after which GTV will no longer provide support services.

Authenticity

• Applicants are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information they provide.

Third-Party Websites

• GTV links to social networking and third-party websites, which may have their own privacy policies. Visitors are encouraged to review these policies.

External Links

• Links to external websites, including those of embassies or consulates, are subject to their respective privacy policies.

• GTV uses CCTV in all BVN Enrolment Centers as required by NIBBS.
